Should Muslims Read the Bible?

Bible
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kgx5pMSVcvk Many Muslims have said that “Ok, we agree  the Bible has not been canceled but I  have no need to read it because the  Quran is the last revealed book and  therefore it is going to supersede all  previous holy books.” This is the  sentiment of many Muslims who say this  but haven't thought through the  consequences of such an attitude and  statement. Because the Quran again  teaches the opposite of that attitude. In  fact in Surah 2:136, it  says “Say we believe in this revelation  given to us and the one given to Ibrahim, Ismail, Isaac and Jacob and the  tribes, and that given to Moses and Jesus  and to all of the prophets and we make no difference between one  and another of them.” They're all put…

Have the Torah and Injil been lost?

Bible
https://youtu.be/dUAxHoBjyHM There are those who ask: wasn't the torah and the injeel lost by the time that the Prophet of Islam Muhammad came (peace be upon him). Were they lost? We do not find anything affirming that in the Quran itself for in Surah 3:3 it clearly says that the gospel and the Torah was in the hands of the Christians and the Jews at the time of the proclamation of Muhammad (peace be upon him). It would not make sense to say in that verse “to confirm that which is between their hands”. What is there to confirm if it is lost already? That verse would not make sense.  Now Mohammed has said to the people who were there in his time that if they want to be able…

Has the Bible been Abrogated by the Quran?

Bible
https://youtu.be/doWH4N6jguo Some people have put forth the thought that the Bible has been superseded, that somehow the previous revelations of Allah have been canceled out, that they are “mansukh”, that means they have been abrogated but are they right? Is this what the Quran teaches? In Surah 16:101, it tells us that Allah is sovereign and will cancel out one sign, one ayah and replace it by another. Some have wanted to take that as a statement that it's not talking about one verse but it's talking about all the previous revelations but there is nothing in that text that says that it was a kitab. It doesn't say it's a kitab. It says it was an ayah, a sign.  Furthermore, there is a vast body of hadith that again…

Should Muslims Read the Bible?

Bible
https://youtu.be/Kgx5pMSVcvk Transcript of the video Conversation point: Are Muslims allowed to read the Bible? If they tell you that Muslims are not allowed to read the Bible, show them verses from the Quran that shows even Muhammad was asked by Allah to consult the earlier Scriptures. And if thou (Muhammad) art in doubt concerning that which we (ie Allah) reveal unto thee, then question those who read the Scripture before thee (Surah 10:94). Conversation point: Is it true a Muslim is required to believe in all the holy books?  Some Muslims think that the advent of the Quran has made the earlier Scriptures irrelevant. In other words, all that God wants us to know can be found in the Quran and there is no longer any need to read the…
